Rotary Club of Tryon’s annual Shrimpfest was held Sept. 21. This major fundraiser brings in between $15,000 and $20,000.

Many Polk County High School seniors benefit from this event through the $20,000 in scholarships given by Rotary each year. Also, Reading is Fundamental at Polk Central Elementary benefits from monies from this event.
