Editor’s note: This letter is in response to a Sept. 18 letter submitted by Gary Poague concerned over commissioner Ray Gasperson not being mentioned in a submission about commissioners attending a conference. 

To the editor:

The picture of Polk County Commissioner Chairman Michael Gage and myself holding Polk County’s flag at the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners’ annual conference was made on Saturday morning. If Commissioner (Ray) Gasperson had been at the conference on Saturday morning, he could have had his picture taken with us, however he left the conference on Friday night.
