The Wilhelm Brothers

The Wilhelm Brothers

The last in the Fall Fest concerts at the Landrum Library features the Wilhelm Brothers on Thursday, Sept. 19, beginning at 7 p.m.

The Wilhelm Brothers – indie folk rock-is a fulltime professional group based in Asheville. Their sound combines the singer/ songwriter talents of Chris Wilhelm with the sonic beauty and skill of cellist Cristof Ensslin. It emphasizes love of a good story delivered in song and employs folk, roots and indie influences. The music is infectious and insightful.

This is a quote about the duo from a photo essay by Kelly Devine on Exosphereradio.com and internet radio station:

“It’s been said by other reviewers that this duo can move even non-singers to sing along, that they leave you with a positive feeling when they play. That is an understatement. Weaving in stories with the melodic sounds of folk, classical, pop and rock music, The Wilhelm Brothers from Ashville, N.C. are worth coming out for. I’m hoping, that when they come my way again, I’ll be able to make time to hear them again. This is simply because they are truly one of the music world’s best kept secrets.”

Join us on the lawn at the Landrum Library for Fall Fest. These performances are free and open to the public. Bring your own food and drinks, but alcohol is not allowed on library property. For more information, call the Landrum Library at 864-457-2218.
