The Wolverines were winning 21-8 going into the half after touchdown passes were caught by Anthony Carson and Dante Poston. Poston, who was injured last year in Polk’s game versus Landrum, proved he was back full strength. Wolverine quarterback Reece Schlabach also took Polk into the endzone for the team’s last score of the evening.

The Cardinals, not willing to go down easy, were led by a tenacious Aaron Bryant on several positive drives. Landrum grabbed one more touchdown in the second and captured the two-point conversion to bring the score 21-15.
