Tryon PD seeks information on air conditioning larcenies

The Tryon Police Department is asking the public to watch for suspicious activity around closed businesses and vacant homes after the discovery of larcenies of working air conditioning parts in the New Market Road area.

Tryon Police Chief Jeff Arrowood said sometime between Sunday, Aug. 11 and Tuesday, Aug. 13 there were three larcenies of air conditioner parts from businesses and a house in the 100 block of New Market Road.

The suspects dismantled and took metal from the units, according to the police report.

The police department is asking the public to keep a watch for any suspicious activity around closed businesses and vacant houses and to report any activity to the police department by calling 828-859-9195.
