During the week from July 28 through Aug. 4, 2013, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office answered 269 calls for service.

There were five arrests, eight citations, 23 civil papers served and three criminal papers served.

Officers completed 330 house checks, 441 church checks, 711 business checks, assisted other agencies 12 times, assisted the public 20 times and patrolled 7,311 miles.
