The Big Hungry 10k will have runners climbing up and over Long Ridge and next to the river with technical terrain.

A river race for both kayaks and canoes will also be held on Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. called the Upper Green Stage Race. The race will be two parts, including a timed down river sprint and a slalom course.

All three sports – running, biking and paddling will be combined for the Silverback, which is being called the most difficult multi-sport event in the world on Saturday at 11 a.m.

The Silverback is the Green River Games’ signature race that will involve three continuous and sequential disciplines of whitewater kayaking, mountain biking and trail running. Racers will begin with a kayaking leg at the Tuxedo Hydro station on the Green River and end at the first bridge on Green River Cove Road totaling about 8 miles along Class V rapids in the Narrows. Racers will then transition to the mountain biking leg in the game lands over about 8 miles and will finish with a trail run.
