Dorothy Mae Cox McAbee Workman, 94, of Mill Spring went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at her residence.

She was born in Spartanburg, S.C. to the late Luther Cox and Molly Hudgin Cox. She worked as an assembler in the furniture industry.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Doris Ann Metcalf of Mill Spring; and step-children Tressie Bradey (Delano), Margie McAbee, Betty Kimmons, Mary Horne (Jacky), Edward Workman (Debbie) and Jerry Workman; 37-plus grandchildren; 75-plus great-grandchildren; and 44-plus great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two husbands, Samuel McAbee and Leroy Workman; children, Ervin McAbee, Jeannette Shelton, Gail C o n a r d , G l e n n McAbee, Teresa Mason, Inez Blackwell and Eileen Lofton. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 29, 2013 at Grassy Knob Baptist Church with Revs. Jerry Jackson and Louis Jackson officiating.
