Organizers for local Autism Spectrum Parent and Family Support Group will host the next  meeting at the Polk County Public Library’s community room (Columbus) on Tuesday, May 28 at 6 p.m.

Representatives from the Family Support Network programs of Western NC and the Foothills, will present an overview of what the programs offer for parents and caregivers raising children with special needs. Both programs offer a variety of support and resources in this region.

Jean Alverez, a parent advocate for the Autism Society of North Carolina, will be on hand to help explain what advocates can do to help families in the area.
