Two members of Unit 250 of the American Legion Auxiliary attended the spring meeting of district 13 in Kings Mountain.
It was only a couple of years ago that the state redistricted itself in hopes of having better attendance at meetings. It was as interesting listening to what the projects of the other units are, and everyone was very interested in two of unit 250’s new projects – the flag museum and the Canine Warrior Project.
“We hope to get national attention by sending an article to national headquarters that they can get published in the national media. It was good to see past state officers and one national president. Yes, in 2001, the national president of the A.L.A. was from King’s Mountain. The local unit of Kings Mountain served us a tasty and filling breakfast. It was a wonderful meeting.”
