Emma Whitaker, a third grader at Campobello Gramling School, started collecting toys for kids in Haiti as a challenge from her dad, David.
“Let Them Play” is a mission ministry started by Emma.
Its goal is to spread joy and the love of Jesus to children around the world and show them that someone cares.
This ministry collects toys and books that are given as a part of children’s meals at restaurants and sends them on mission trips around the world. They also collect other small toys as long as they are in very good condition.
Her job in the effort is to collect toys and pack them up. From there, her dad takes control. Emma says, “I believe the kids will be really happy, because the toys may be all they get.”
