The eighth annual Tryon April Fool’s Festival begins at 10 a.m. on April 6 with a farmers’ market featuring 15 vendors offering all kinds of treats, including some of the first Polk County produce of the season.

At the same time, music will signal the start of a high-energy Zumbathon to benefit Thermal Belt Outreach.

Music will continue with Christopher Laughter’s Irish reels and fiddle tunes from noon until 3 pm. The Trophy Husbands will continue the beat from 3 to 6 p.m. with music for your listening and dancing pleasure. And at 6 p.m., O’Neal Township will continue to rock until 8 p.m. Wood-fired pizza, hotdogs and brats will be available in the food tents, as well as pizza from Buck’s and Asian delights from Kyoto. For those who would rather dine indoors, Southside Grille on Trade Street will offer a 10 percent discount on meals all day. Regional beers and wine will be available, as well as water and soft drinks. And YEAST, the local beer brewing club, will craft their beverages while providing information for those who are interested in learning.
