Two geniuses walk into a bar…

I’ll come back to that.

Let’s just say, hypothetically, the year is 1904 and there is a bar in Paris called the Lapin Agile. (Actually there is such a bar and it has been there since the mid 1800s.)

Tryon Little Theater will bring the Lapin Agile to Tryon in April with its unique cast of characters. Freddy (Elvin Clark) is the owner and bartender of the Lapin Agile. He is assisted by his waitress and girl-friend Germaine (Donna Everett) when she is not engaged in her other…pursuits.

Gaston (Lou Buttino) is a bar regular who is only newly old and considers women as “my area of expertise.”

A young man who works in a patent office by day and writes about “everything” by night walks into the bar to wait for a woman he promised to meet at another bar. (Don’t worry, she thinks like he does.) The young man’s name is Albert Einstein (Joseph Clark).

Suzanne (Katie Cilluffo) is a beautiful young woman who arrives at the Lapin Agile looking for a young artist who she recently…met.
