Robert “Bobby” Settle, 82, of Landrum died March 19, 2013.  He was the son of the late Ralph and Fannie Settle and husband of Irene Solesbee Settle.

He was a member of Landrum First Baptist Church and was retired from Life of Virginia Insurance Company.  He was a loving and caring  “Papa” to all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Susan Jackson and husband John; Lisa Owens and husband Scott; five grandchildren, Elisabeth, Sarah and John Robert Jackson, Will and Ian Owens.

Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Landrum First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Andy Allen, Rev. Chuck Mullinax, Rev. Jimmy Camp and Rev. Mark Bishop.  Burial will be in Landrum Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Landrum First Baptist Church Building Fund, 300 E. Rutherford Road, Landrum, SC  29356.
