Artist Ray Pague demonstrated painting techniques to Saluda resident Thomas Hoffman at the 2011 Saluda Arts Festival. Aiming to celebrate Saluda’s heritage and arts culture, the Saluda Business Association plans to hold its 10th annual Saluda Arts Festival May 18 and is currently seeking entries.

“Ten years is a milestone for this grassroots arts festival that started with only 18 artists and has now grown to 60 artisans stretching along historic Main Street in Saluda. Every art media is represented including paintings, pottery, metal work, jewelry, sculptures, fiber, and more,” said festival organizers.

With a non-jury event, festival organizers expect a large number of entries. Some types of work (i.e. jewelry) will be accepted on a limited basis. Early entries will be given first choice of booth location.
