At 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 21, students at Polk County Middle School remembered students and staff members from Sandy Hook Elementary School with the tolling of chimes. Band members Rachel Stechschulte (left) and Trinity Branham, sounded the chimes 26 times while PCMS observed a moment of silence honoring each student and staff member who was lost in the Sandy Hook school shooting incident on Dec. 14, 2012.
