Special guest speaker at the Dec. 12 meeting of Kiwanis Club of Tryon was Carol Newton, executive director of Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry. Newton gave an update on Outreach’s mission and vision for helping those in need. Since 1991, Outreach has helped thousands of individuals, children and families in Polk County.
