TDDA Christmas Stroll to be held in downtown Tryon Dec. 7

The streets of downtown Tryon will ring in the holiday season with the ‘Tryon Christmas Stroll’ on Friday, Dec. 7 from 5-8 p.m..

Enjoy an evening strolling among downtown merchants with refreshments and treats while you visit with friends and begin your holiday shopping.

Santa will make an appearance to hear what children young and old are wishing for this Christmas.

There will also be street performances throughout the evening including the Tryon First Baptist Handbell Choir, Dance Dynamics, The Broken Bread Band, PCHS Flute & Sax Ensemble, PCHS Vocal Impressions and PCHS Marching Cadets.

Tryon Methodist Church Hand bell Choir will be at Owen’s Pharmacy.

A silent ornament auction to benefit the Tryon Gallery Trots will be begin at Skyuka Fine Art. Come and bid on many one-of-a-kind handmade ornaments created especially for this event by local artists.

Tryon Arts and Crafts will visit us in the Shops of Tryon.  Vines and Stuff joins in the festivities with Irish music and artist demonstrations with Kim Attwoll (bring your own photos for enhancements).

Toast some marshmallows at Thompson’s on Palmer Street, and make Christmas crafts with Chris Baschon at the Trade St. Gallery Coffee Shop.

Finish up your stroll by heading over to Tryon Little Theater’s Tree Decorating and Christmas Caroling at Sunnydale’s Cabin from 6:30-9 p.m.

We can’t think of a better way to start off your holiday season than by joining your community, engaging in holiday cheer and supporting local merchants and artisans. This is a TDDA sponsored event.
