During the past summer, several Mountain Valley Baptist Church young people worked as servers at the Polk Baptist Association Care Kitchen.
Care Kitchen has received numerous donations, including produce from CooperRiis, Charles and Jeff Searcy and peach cobblers from Ernie Kan, Glenda and Bonnie Smith. Other food and monetary donations from area individuals and churches have been received, including the Mountain Valley Baptist Church youth’s donation of their entire missions offering.
The Care Kitchen offers free lunch every Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the dining room (basement of Polk Baptist Association) located at 208 Blanton Street, Columbus. All are invited.
To make a donation, contact the Care Kitchen secretary/treasurer at 828-817-0448.
