N.C. Cattle Industry Assessment Referendum vote set for Oct. 4

The North Carolina Cattlemen’s Association has announced that the North Carolina Cattle Industry Assessment Referendum vote will take place on Oct. 4. Voting will take place at the Polk County Cooperative Extension during office hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Any North Carolina resident over the age of 18 who can claim ownership of cattle, either beef or dairy, is eligible to vote. Anyone not available on Oct. 4 can contact the Polk County Cooperative Office to request an absentee ballot.
