Otho Gibbs Chamber Golf Tournament received a sponsorship check from Tryon Federal Bank for the event held on Sept. 20 at Meadowbrook Golf Club. Christina Feagan, special events coordinator, accepted the donation from Ethan Waldman of Tryon Federal. The tournament had 20 teams this 14th year. The event will help provide funding for the chamber foundation. Chamber grants provided funding this year to the Polk County Sheriffs Mounted Patrol, House of Flags Museum, the Mill Spring Agricultural Center and Tryon Tourism Development Authority.
