Second annual Breakthrough Challenge offers new business funding, mentoring

Do you have an innovative new business concept or are you seeking an opportunity to grow your existing business?
Apply by Sunday, Sept. 30 to the second annual Blue Ridge Entrepreneurial Council (BREC) Breakthrough Challenge and have a chance to turn your idea into a scalable business model and pitch to real investors. Both startups and existing businesses seeing an opportunity to expand are invited to apply.
The BREC Breakthrough Challenge is offered by a partnership of the Tech20/20 Center for Entrepreneurial Growth (CEG) and the Blue Ridge Entrepreneurial Council (BREC), a program of AdvantageWest and supported by Polk County Economic and Tourism Development Commission.
Entrepreneurs and small businesses are encouraged to apply, work with a seasoned mentor from Tech 20/20 and present to a panel of angel investors, investors, fund managers and other finance professionals. Winning presentations may lead to funding. The Advantage Opportunity Fund programs also plans to award at least one startup loan to a qualifying participant.
