Attwooll to demonstrate watercolors in Asheville for American Craft Week

Tryon artist Kim Attwooll, in affiliation with Grovewood Gallery, will join other area artisans at the Haywood Hotel, 1 Battery Park Avenue in Asheville, N.C. for American Craft Week, Oct. 5-14.
The demos will run daily from 11 to 5 except for Oct. 5 when they will be in the evening from 5 to 8.
Attwooll will be at the Haywood Hotel Oct. 11-12. Since the mid 1990s, she has been painting miniature watercolors and mounting them on 5 x 7 greeting cards suitable for framing. She now sells enhanced prints on cards of her paintings to more than 150 stores and galleries.
In Asheville, she will be showing how to paint simple spontaneous watercolors.
Other artists participating include polymer clay, jewelry and painting artist Barbara McGuire (Oct. 5-6); jewelry artist Mary McCall Timmer (Oct. 5, 6, 8 and 9); glass artist Shannon Norris (Oct. 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13 and 14); doll-maker Charlie Patricolo (Oct. 10-11) and fiber artist Yvonne Engler (Oct. 11, 12 and 13).
