Joe Epley of Tryon, global public relations leader and author of the historical novel “A Passel of Hate,” is featured in Jack J. Prather’s “Twelve Notables in Western North Carolina.”
Prather’s book, nominated for the North Carolina Literary and Historical Association’s 2012 Ragan Old North State Award for Non-Fiction, is available at the Book Shelf in Tryon and other outlets.
The “Notables” all reside within WNC region, defined in the book as a 10,000-square-mile area with 1.3 million residents, but may have made their marks anywhere in region, state, nation or world. In addition to Epley, they include Rev.
