Fourteen new trainees and one new staff member completed a 15-hour training conducted in Inman, S.C. by Hospice of the Carolina Foothills staff, and a panel of working volunteers. All but two trainees live in S.C. and all are signing on to help in some capacity – as a patient companion, Hospice House volunteer or Caring Canine. Bottom row, left to right are: Merrie Likes, Hayden Tesseneer, and Violet Ballard. Second row, left to right are: Annette Blackwell, Diane Zimmerman, JoAnn Kearney, Case Ballard, Larry Wagner and Karen Wagner. Back row, left to right are: Mary Raines, Clare Lawson (staff member), Jim Kearney, Pete Sports, Rita Sports and Gail Peay.
