FENCE will host its first Okoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 3 – 9 p.m.
The following bands will be performing:
Special Edition – One of the best-known groups of musicians in the upstate, Special Edition has played at many local clubs, special events and downtown festivals over the past 16 years. The group plays country, blues and rock, with a sound that has been described as soulful, classic and very danceable. Members include Gary Collins, lead guitarist; Mickey Smith, rhythm guitarist; Carey Upton, keyboard and guitar; Mark Burrell on drums; Bruce Caldwell on sax and Woody Cowan on bass.
Project X – Project X is a local group of seasoned professionals playing rock and roll “with an attitude.” The group performs a mix of rock classics with a touch of the obscure, interlaced with originals by guitarist and keyboard player Carey Upton. Along with Upton, band members include Julie Miller on percussion and keyboard, Woody Cowan on bass, Calem Upton on drums and Brandon Upton on guitar.
