William H. Taylor and Ruth D. Taylor celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on July 1 – a very rare milestone for any couple. It was just meant to be, family members said. The party was given by the couple’s children, Paulette MacDonald and husband, Rion, and Johnny Taylor and wife, Gerry. Ruth’s two sisters, Clelia Cochran and Martha Cox and husband, David, also assisted with the party, which was a drop-in celebration at White Oak of Tryon. Ruth Taylor is staying there in Benson Hall.
