Morris Ransom Project receives challenge grant July 2

The Morris Ransom Project received notification on Monday, July 2 of a challenge grant in the amount of $2,000.
The notification detailed that donors “will match up to a total of $2,000 for any single or combined donation to the local effort to bring Tryon’s beloved icon home.” The local Tryonite donors said they wish to remain anonymous.
Project chair Patti D’Arbanville commented, “This is such a wonderful surprise, and I can’t thank them enough for their generosity. This amazing gift means that Morris is that much closer to coming home where he belongs.”
Tax-deductible donations can be made payable to the Town of Tryon, indicating Morris Ransom Project. They can be dropped by Tryon Town Hall or mailed to 301 N. Trade Street, Tryon, N.C.  28782. Donations can also be made through PayPal on the project’s website: www.savemorris.webs.com.
