Master Gardeners complete course work

The Polk County Master Gardener class of 2012 has completed its course work and has begun serving on the local Master Gardener desk. The Master Gardeners are available to answer gardening questions Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – noon and Thursday afternoons from 1-4 p.m.
Graduates from this year’s class are Judy Banks, Jean Boles, Libby Boone, Mandy Hrobak, Cindy Jarvis, Cathy Johnson, Aine Love, Skip Love, Lillie Stott, Carole Stuenkel and Hila Swanson.
The Master Gardener class is offered each spring by the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service. Students in the program receive 48 hours of instruction in all aspects of horticulture. The course is taught by Polk County Extension Director John Vining.
