Blood Connection positive experience

To the editor:
I had a positive experience last week when I donated blood to The Blood Connection, which supplies blood to St. Luke’s Hospital in Columbus.
The staff in the mobile unit was courteous and professional. I was in and out in 30 minutes.
Plus, they gave me a T-shirt!
Since I volunteer at St. Luke’s Hospital, I’m glad that working with The Blood Connection is also beneficial to our hospital.
With improved customer service and cost savings, The Blood Connection offers many benefits including on-line ordering and improved inventory management.
If a unit of blood is nearing expiration, The Blood Connection gets it to another hospital to be used.
This means that no donation is ever discarded!
As regular donors, my husband and I find this extremely important.
On Thursday, July 12, The Blood Connection will be holding a blood drive from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at St. Luke’s Hospital.
I encourage readers in the Carolina Foothills to donate blood; it will benefit your friends, your neighbors and your hospital.
