Modified optional gymnast Sydney Waldman of Foothills Gymnastics in Tryon jumps to new heights, performing a “wolf jump” on the balance beam during her gold medal winning routine. Foothills Gymnastics will host its annual year-end showcase Saturday, June 9 from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. The exhibition will feature routines and performances by 64 gymnasts of all ages, including recreation, pre-team and competition team, boys strength and conditioning and the new high school boys Parkour. The exhibition will also feature performances by the Modified Optional team, which recently won the N.C. AAU State Championship. The gym is located in Tryon at 66 Academy Street.
