Sarah Jane Angier, a 2011 Polk High graduate, recently received a three-year Air Force ROTC scholarship at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where she plans to study nursing. Angier also received the American Veterans Award for “diligence in the discharge of duties, and the willingness to serve both God and country for the mutual benefit of all.” Angier is the daughter of Kathy Angier of Saluda and Duke Angier of Flat Rock, N.C.
