J.B. Ogle, 82, of Honeysuckle Lane, Sunny View passed away at Pardee Hospital April 8, 2012 after a long illness.
Born in Polk County, he was the son of the late John and Mary Ruth Beck Ogle. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Lucy, who died in 2007; a son, Roger, who died in 2010, and also a sister, Dorothea McGuinn.
He is survived by his grandchildren, B.J. Ogle and wife, Jane; Jennifer Lynch and husband, Jason; Sandi Cole and husband, Bart, and one great-grandson, Hunter Lynch. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law of 25 years, Dale Wilson; a sister, Louise Odel, all of Sunny View. And also many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 11 in Big Level Baptist Church, Sunny View, with Rev. Robert Orr officiating.
Burial will be in Big Level Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 10 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon.
The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
The family will be at the home of Dale Wilson, 5581 S. Wilson Hill Rd., Mill Spring.
