Kenneth Ray Morris

Kenneth Ray Morris, 58, of Tryon, died Sunday, April 1 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Columbus. Born Jan. 17, 1954, in Dearborn, Mich., he was the son of the late Carl and Frieda Anderton Morris.  
A U. S. Army veteran, Sergeant Morris served in the 82nd Airborne Division during the Vietnam War. He was the former vice president of operations for Ceradyne Inc., attended San Diego State University and Santa Barbara Community College in California. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his loving wife, Robin Lynn Troudt Morris; daughter, Kathryn Marie Morris of the home; sons, Kenneth Thomas Morris Jr. of Lumberton, Texas and Keith Henry Morris of the home; brother, Keith Allen Morris and wife Frances of Stockbridge, Ga.; aunt, Judy A. Mize of Smyrna, Tenn. and niece Rhonda Kavanagh of Severna Park, Md.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 5 at Floyd’s Boiling Springs Chapel, by the Rev. Andy Case. Visitation will follow the service.
