Polk district court results

In Polk County District Court held on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012 with Judge Athena F. Brooks presiding, 101 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are given as they appear in court records):
Robert Scott Blanton was convicted of selling/delivering a schedule VI controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a schedule VI controlled substance and maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance. Blanton was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for time served, 12 months supervised probation, a $250 fine and court costs.
Herman D. Branham was convicted of speeding 90 mph in a 65 mph zone. Branham was fined $90 and court costs.
Timothy J. Clutter was convicted of speeding 92 mph in a 65 mph zone. Clutter was fined $92 and court costs.
Timothy A. Foster was convicted of three counts of misdemeanor larceny. Foster was sentenced to three years supervised probation, $6,618 in restitution and court costs.
Gilliam Jeter Jr. was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Jeter was fined $40 and court costs.
Moses Lewis Johnson was convicted of speeding 92 mph in a 65 mph zone. Johnson was fined $92 and court costs.
David Melton Jones Jr. was convicted of consumption of alcohol by 19/20 year old. Jones was fined $25 and court costs.
Cynthia Beall Pearce was convicted of larceny. Pearce was sentenced to one year supervised probation and $772 in restitution.
Johnny Dale Stokes was convicted of common law uttering. Stokes was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, two days in jail with credit for time served and $3,361 in restitution.
