Helping those less fortunate
The Scholars Academy of Spartanburg at USC Upstate, which includes students from the seven school districts of Spartanburg County, is asking for your help.
The students are participating in a community service project to assist less fortunate students in Spartanburg County.
For the January/February community service project, The Scholars Academy is participating in Teens for Jeans, a project through Aeropostale that helps homeless teens.
If you would like to assist these students with this project simply drop off any pair of jeans that would be appropriate for an elementary, middle school, and/or high school student to any school in District One and the Scholars Academy students will collect them.
These donated jeans do not have to be new; previously worn jeans (without holes) are fine.
This project will end on Feb. 10, and the winners are announced soon after Feb. 11. The student council will turn in the jeans to Aeropostale.
