Blue Ridge Christian Academy students in Mrs. Shumate’s fifth grade class loaded up their covered wagon and headed west recently as pioneers. The class experienced life as pioneer for the day as they followed trails through the grasslands, woods and mountains. Their adventures included hunting, gathering, and an attack by Native Americans. The school will hold an open house Monday, Jan. 30 from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. Tours and enrollment information will be available. (photo submitted by Angie Dentler)
