The Spartanburg Science Center, located in the Chapman Cultural Center in Spartanburg, S.C., will hold a free open house on Saturday, Jan. 14 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The center has recently added 14 new exhibits, a recently acquired mounted alligator and an aquarium full of local pond life. Among the new exhibits is a room-size harmonograph, which is like a giant spiral graph. Users are able to control the look of their spiral graphs by manipulating weights and swings.
The exhibits were donated by the Discovery Place in Charlotte, N.C.
