Tryon’s loss

To the Editor:
I was unpleasantly surprised to learn of Justin Hembree’s firing.
My experience in dealing with Justin was that he was accessible, agreeable to work with, and an overall well-liked professional in the community.
His loss is a detriment to the town of Tryon, especially in light of the fact that he was perhaps the fifth Tryon Town Manager in 10 years.
Also, there seems to be a great deal of secrecy about this event, which apparently was the result of an “emergency” meeting requiring that Justin be watched over while he packed up his desk and left the premises.
Now I may be uninformed here, but are town managers, in general, shady, unreliable folks who constantly change jobs?
It is my impression that they are not. Hmmmmm!
There must be some other fly in the soup in Tryon.
