The Polk County Sheriff’s Office Golf Tournament held on Nov. 5 raised more than $4,000 for the needy people of Polk County.
The money will be used to help those in need of fuel oil, kerosene and heaters and to help with electric bills so people can keep warm this winter.
Sheriff’s officials said the numerous hole sponsors and door prizes from county business and citizens ensured the success of the event.
