Beverly Wilson, head teacher at Tuesday School, located at the Congregational Church in Tryon, spoke to the Tryon Kiwanis Club on Oct. 26 about the preschool, which has been in operation for more than 30 years. Tuesday School is a non-profit, parent co-op that involves parents in the running of the school. Wilson said the preschool has classes for children 2, 3 and 4 years old and offers developmentally appropriate play and school readiness. Some scholarships are available, and several fundraisers, such as the Tot Trot and the Book Fair, help support the school financially.
