Horses and turkeys and sheep, oh my!

Tuesday School’s 4 year-old lead teacher, Beverly Wilson, recently hosted all of the school’s young students at her farm in Columbus. While feeding and petting all the animals, the children learned all about how a farm works and what it takes to raise everything from baby chicks to old mares. The students got up close and personal with everything from cuddly bunnies to quacking ducks to horses many times their size. They learned about what each animal eats, how big they get, and how animals, like chickens and sheep help feed and clothe people. Teachers and parents of Tuesday School, Tryon’s nonprofit parent cooperative preschool, accompanied children on the trip and had just as much fun as the children. (photo submitted by Amy Wood)
