Paul H. Zigas, grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Max H. Feagan (Virgie Holbert Smith) of Columbus has been named “Outstanding Young Alumni” at N.C. State University (NCSU) college of agriculture and life sciences, for exemplary achievement.
Zigas was a Thomas Jefferson Scholar at NCSU, where he earned a masters in toxicology, bachelor of science in biochemistry and a bachelor of arts in history.
Zigas is also a graduate of University of N.C. School of Law in Chapel Hill and is licensed to practice in N.C. and before the U.S. patent and trademark office.
Zigas is senior associate attorney at East Carolina University. He is married to Dr. Rachel N. Murrell and they live in Winterville, N.C. His parents are Dr. and Mrs. Robert P. Zigas (Patricia Smith) of Chapel Hill, N.C.
