David  “Rod” Moore, age 61, of Rutherfordton, N.C., died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, at Hospice House of Rutherford County.
A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Carolyn Hill Moore. Mr. Moore. He attended Gray’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
He is  survived by his wife, Vonda Moore; two daughters, Julie Fincher of Forest City, N.C., and Tonya Rogers of Rutherfordton, N.C.; one son, Donnie Rogers of Columbus; his father, David “Jim” Moore of Rutherfordton, N.C.; one sister, Alice Faye Moore of Chapel Hill, N.C., and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011 at the Jim and Carolyn Moore building of the Gray’s Chapel United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held at Gray’s Chapel United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011 with Rev. Carroll Flack and Rev. Danny Talbot officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
