Polk Central School held its annual Grandparents’ Day celebration on Friday, Sept. 9. More than 400 grandparents visited their grandchildren. They were treated to classroom activities honoring them and a tour of the school. Principal Dottie Kinlaw greeted the grandparents in the media senter and expressed appreciation for the role they play in the lives of their grandchildren. She also thanked the volunteer “grandfriends” who came to be with students whose grandparents were unable to visit that day. (article and photos submitted by Julie Stott)
