Tryon Downtown Development Association meeting Sept. 26

All friends of Tryon are invited to the Tryon Downtown Development Association (TDDA) annual membership meeting on Monday Sept. 26 at 5:30 p.m.
The meeting will be held at the restored Tryon Depot building in downtown Tryon. Attendees will receive updates on progress TDDA has made this past year in downtown Tryon with various projects and what’s coming up in terms of design plans, road improvements, new businesses and special events.
Attendees will enjoy hors de oeuvres, drinks and networking at the social hour at 5:30 p.m. The speaker to follow is Angela Chandler, executive director of the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area, to which many of the area organizations belong. Chandler will address the importance of regional tourism and development efforts. TDDA will also premiere a short video highlighting past year’s accomplishments, to be followed by the business meeting.
