Family takes custody of 6-month-old in home
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office arrested two females and a male in connection with a meth lab at 106 Turner Barton Road in Landrum on Wednesday, Sept. 21.
Lt. Michael Hilderbrand said the Sheriff’s Office received a tip from the Department of Social Services that the home possibly had children inside where a meth lab was being operated.
When deputies arrived, they found a 6-month-old and remnants of a meth lab.
The child was checked out by EMS on the scene and turned over to a family member.
Officers took 18-year-old Kathleen Ann Gerich of 2666 Mt. Lebanon Church Road in Campobello, 26-year-old Brook Amber Blue of 106 Turner Barton Road in Landrum and 28-year-old Ricci Todd Allen, Jr., also of 106 Turner Barton Road in Landrum into custody.
The three suspects have all been charged with manufacture of methamphetamine, and the parents of the child, Allen and Blue, were also charged with unlawful manufacture of meth in the presence of a minor child and unlawful neglect of a child. Gerich is currently in jail on a $20,000 bond, while Blue and Allen are currently in on $45,000 bail.
