Traffic in downtown Tryon was disrupted by construction Friday, Sept. 2 for the second time in the past couple of weeks. A contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation was at work Friday in the Pacolet Street and Melrose Avenue area, raising manholes and water valve boxes flush with the new asphalt on the roads that were resurfaced in and around Tryon recently.
