The new bridge over the Pacolet River on S.C. Route 128 (known by many people locally as Hwy. 14) just outside Landrum was opened on Monday, Aug. 29 . The S.C. Department of Transportation (DOT) awarded the bid for $1.9 million. The bridge was old and needed replacing, according to DOT officials.
