Elisabeth Elliott, former Polk County cross country and track state winning athlete, is hosting a back to school 5k run/walk on Friday, Aug. 12 at 8 p.m. located at the Polk County Sheriff’s department. Registration for this event is between 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Proceeds from racer’s fees will benefit the New York City Marathon this November, helping cancer patients and their families with expenses such as housing, food, transportation and medication.
T-shirts will be provided for all registrants.
Medals will be given to overall top three finishers (male and female) and top three finishers in each age group (male and female).
